Seeds of Hope: A Message From Young Voices in the Aftermath of September 11 is a collection of poems and artwork from young students in the New York area and a touching memoir of the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Even through that terrible tragedy, these children cling to the hop for a world where all can live in peace and harmony. Our young authors and artists invite us to see the tragedy through their eyes, and they show that love, peace, freedom, hope, friendship, respect and understanding have survived the confusion and pain of September 11.

By purchasing a copy of Seeds of Hope, you are also donating a portion of the proceeds to the Fresh Air Fund.

Organize a class fundraiser:

Children empowering themselves to help others is the best type of donation. Over the years we have received generous donations from children who have come up with creative ways to make a difference in the world. Contact elizabeth@wohi.org if you would like to organize a school fundraiser.

Foote School, CT: Daffodil drive helped raise $500

Epiphany Community Nursery School, NYC: Annual Auction raised $3,000 to build a playground, which is currently in developmental stages.

Vitalis Skolan, Sweden: collected and sent holiday packages to the children of Samsam Odumase. Funds for this initiative were generously donated by Camfil Farr.

Jesper Lunnevi raised funds to donate soccer equipment that was generously sent by DHL, Sweden.

Sponsor a child:

A donation of $120 will cover school fees, uniform and school supplies for a child in elementary school for up to one year. For more information on how to sponsor a child, please e-mail wohi@wohi.org.
