Water:

The clean potable water supply program is testament to WOHI’s dedication to the health and wellbeing of the children of Samsam Odumase. The addition of two local water pumps, has not only had a positive affect on the health of the local children, but has also increased school attendance since children no longer need to walk long distances to fetch water.

By the Spring of 2008, one local well will also be complete with a state of the art solar powered water purification unit. We give thanks to Fraydun Foundation for its generous contribution, helping to turn this goal into a reality.

Access to fresh, clean drinking water is deeply embedded in WOHI's mission and is the basis for which children and adults can exit the cycle of poverty. One of our goals as an organization is to build one well per year in communities all around Ghana and other targeted countries. To date, WOHI has funded 5 wells
